I wouldn’t usually however felt compelled to describe my experience this morning to see if it helps shine light on the human dilemma/experience…
I had a dentist appointment in London @9.30am of which I won’t bore you with the details (I’m not interested) and neither should you be…
My experience on route however re-affirmed a few things for me…
I woke late (children unusually sleeping past 6.30am) and Jules kindly reminded me I had an appointment to make and a train to catch…
Not 100% sure where I was going I turned to the trusty electronic device, agh 4% battery that needs a charge then, so in charge it went…
20 mins later I decided it was best to leave even with only 20% battery and still unsure of where I was going precisely or what time the train was…
Phone turned off I arrived at the station at 7.39am and was pleasantly surprised that the next train was 7.40 which arrived the moment I arrived on the platform…
On the train with little battery I had little choice (in my model of the world) to meditate for the 50 minute journey which meant I arrived at Kings cross feeling relaxed and refreshed albeit walking half the pace of anyone else on the platform…
On leaving kings cross I looked up to my left and read the first street sign I saw which was Grays Inn Road…
I then took the appointment letter out of my pocket to read the address University College London 256 Grays Inn Road!
I smiled to myself inwardly (the Universe was indeed looking after me) and turned my phone on and plugged the address in to my maps showing a quick five minute walk to my destination and 55 minutes to spare…
All morning I had been fancying a Costa Coffee (other coffee brands exist) and two minutes up the road with my battery now at 1% on the other side there one was…
As I entered I spotted a plug socket free next to a two seated window seat so I bought my favourite coffee and patisserie plugged my phone here and after a couple of mins felt compelled to write this blog…
I am not sure what you will take from this, probably that Jeez Bevis is incredibly disorganised (guilty as charged), incredibly lucky (also guilty) and hopefully maybe something else too…
When there is no fear of anything going (after all it only goes wrong if we judge any event as wrong, think it is wrong) then life/the Universe has chance to come to our aid either in a big way or small way…
Think of all the good things in your life, did they come from sweat tears and hard graft or is there something bigger at play which we all ought to be grateful for?
Anyway I better sign off as it is now 9.11am and I still have a little walk ahead (after all I don’t want to be late he he)…
