Representational System
Understand your Representational System
Your representational system is how you prefer to be communicated with. Whether: visual (look), auditory (sound), kinaesthetic (feel) or auditory digital (detail). By taking a simple and quick test you can discover your own preferences.
Why Discover your Communication Preferences?
We are all different, by gaining an understanding of your own communication preferences, you will discover how this may differ to others. Once you can identify other communication preferences, the ability to communicate and build relationships (both personal and professional) will become easier.
Different Communication Preferences
Visual
If your preference is visual you will: memorise by seeing pictures and are less distracted by noise.
Language used will include: see, look, view, appear, show, dawn, reveal, envision, illuminate, clear, foggy, focused.
Auditory
If your preference is auditory you will: memorise by listening, asking questions and talking through your thoughts.
Language used will include: hear, listen, sounds, make music, harmonise, tune in/out, be all ears, be heard.
Kinaesthetic
If your preference is kinaesthetic you will: memorise by doing or walking through something.
Language used will include: feel, touch, grasp, get hold of, slip through, catch on, tap into, make contact, throw out.
Auditory Digital
If your preference is auditory digital you will: memorise by steps, procedures and sequences and by seeking clarification and understanding.
Language used will include: sense, experience, understand, think, learn, process, decide, motivate, consider, change.
